GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support students in Gosport. As an SEN Teaching Assistant (Special Needs TA), you will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the guidance and encouragement needed to thrive in their learning journey. You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom experience. Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA): Support students with individual learning plans, adapting lessons to their needs. Assist teachers in delivering structured and engaging activities. Provide one-to-one and small group support. Encourage students' confidence, independence, and social skills. Help manage classroom behaviour and engagement. Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment. SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements: Any degree in Psychology, Education or in similar field. Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or working with children in an educational setting. CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt learning materials and support individual needs.
