We are currently working with a large Pubic Sector body in recruiting for a Band 3 Personal Secretary.
Job Summary / Main Purpose
The post holder will provide an efficient secretarial and administrative support service to the Head of Regional Medical Physics and Service Manager for Regional Medical Physics Service.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
* For each of the following, the post holder will: Provide a secretarial and administrative service to Head of Regional Medical Physics and Service Manager for Regional Medical Physics Service team. Undertake a range of administrative support duties including receiving processing and distributing mail, personally dealing with routine items, provision of typing and admin support.
* To provide an efficient and effective diary management system for all senior management teams including preparation of all pre-meeting documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
* To provide administrative support for a range of management meetings and events to include agenda preparation, minute taking and compilation of action plans as required.
* To show initiative and develop / maintain both electronic and hard copy filing systems including Bring Forward (BF) processes of working.
* Will require travelling to venues throughout the Trust and use of MS Teams for online meetings.
* Act as point of contact for forms of communication between staff and external agencies to ensure a full and efficient service.
* To make and receive telephone calls and take appropriate action.

Essential Criteria:
RSA/OCR Stage II Text Processing Part I and Part II (Word Processing/Typewriting) or equivalent.
Four GCSE’s Grade C or above (to include English Language) or equivalent and one year secretarial/administrative experience.
OR
NVQ Level 2 in Administration and 1 year secretarial/administrative experience.
OR
2 Year’s secretarial experience with minute taking and GCSE Grade C or above in English Language.
* Experience in the use of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Ability to identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
* Effective planning and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload.
* Effective communication skills to meet the needs of the post in full.
Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment .
