Sheridan Maine are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Commercial Accountant to support our clients finance team in delivering key insights that drive business performance. This role is perfect for a part-qualified ambitious finance professional looking to gain exposure to commercial accounting in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your key areas of responsibility will include: - Perform and co-ordinate budgeting and forecasting processes - Develop strong relationships across departments to ensure alignment on financial goals. - Assist with month end processes - Support the production of financial performance reports and dashboards. - Monitor performance against forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities. - Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions Skills and Experience Required: - Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). - Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups) and proficiency with financial systems and software. - Proficiency in financial systems and software - Demonstrable experience in a similar accounting role, ideally in a fast-paced environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy. - Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to work collaboratively across teams - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure - A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to grow and develop within the role.
