Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 23 year old female living with my family and our pet dogs in Glyncoch area. I am a kind and caring individual and I have a very supported family around me. I have been diagnosed with OCD and anxiety and depression. I use distraction techniques like listening to music to help me when I am feeling in low mood, I am very open and honest when I am not feeling myself.
In 2021 I developed Guillain Barre syndrome where my physical health rapidly declined leaving me unable to walk independently. I sometime use crutches and a wheelchair for longer distances.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To increase my confidence in the community and to participate in more activities and make new friends and to reduce isolation.
PLACE OF WORK
At my home address and work towards going out in the community.
HOURS OF WORK
16 hours per week to be agreed
RATE OF PAY
£12.45 per hour including some mileage and expenses
TASKS INVOLVED
Reassure me when I am feeling anxious
Go out into the community when I feel ready to
Support me to feel more confident
When low in mood and lacking motivation I sometimes need prompting to attend to personal hygiene.
Work with me to feel confident to get out and about

Someone that can drive and has access to a car and has business class insurance

ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
