DESCRIPTION
Clear and effective processes make sure every customer across the globe receives the speed, quality, and reliability they expect from Amazon. As a Senior Change Manager, you'll get involved in analysing the way we do things and working with colleagues across a number of teams to make our processes better. This role is an opportunity to help shape the future of Amazon, because even small changes can transform our business.
This role could be based out of LHR35, BCN1, LUX or any AMXL site in Europe.
Key job responsibilities
1. Ensure cross-departmental collaboration to ensure that all relevant teams are aligned and engaged in the change initiatives.
2. Engage impacted stakeholders to evaluate the risks associated with proposed changes and to serve as the approval authority for change requests.
3. Responsible for assessing the operations readiness for change and coordinating all change management activities.
4. Engaging stakeholders, creating communication plans, and building networks of change champions to facilitate the transition.
5. Continuously evaluating and improving the change management process to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency.
6. Ensure collaboration with NA CM teams for parity on changes with WW impacts.
7. Monitor the execution of change management activities to ensure alignment with the overall change strategy.
A day in the life
Every day, you'll focus on our business objectives - from developing and implementing change management strategies, ensuring alignment with AMXL goals - and find creative ways to make these happen. You'll be part of a team driving major projects to standardise our processes and make improvements to our operations. That will involve being in regular contact with senior management and a wider group of stakeholders to define the change requirements and update them on status, risks, and impacts. You'll also create communication plans to bring everyone up to speed with the new processes you implement.
About the team
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we're changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.
We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.
