Housekeeper | Housekeeping | Bank Contract, 0-37.5 hours p/week | Norwich | Flexible Working | Free Parking
Spire Norwich Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper. As Housekeeper you will be responsible for providing a housekeeping service to all departments as well as cleaning areas within the hospital as designated by the Service Manager. This is a bankcontract which essentially is a 0-hour contract role where you will take on shifts you can do to cover sickness, annual leave or the need for additional staff.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Ensure that patient rooms are ready for admissions
2. In patient rooms are serviced on a daily basis
3. Departments and public areas are cleaned
4. Comply with daily and weekly cleaning schedule
5. Be flexible and accommodate changes as necessary in providing continuity of care and Quality Improvement
6. To assist the nursing staff to ensure patient rooms are ready for admission
7. To support other members of the team, with occasional supervision of less experienced staff
Who we're looking for
8. Previous experience in hospitality and/or housekeeping is desirable, but not essential
9. No formal qualifications are required and full training will be provided
10. Good knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety regulations would be beneficial
11. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate well with other members of staff and patients in a professional manner
12. Able to work independently and as part of a team
13. Capable of working on own initiative and with a methodical approach to work
