Job Description Suffolk County Council - Riverside, Lowestoft, NR33 0EQ - Hybrid £45,380 - £55,634 per annum (pro rata if part time) Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Honorarium £2930.86 (paid monthly £244.24) 37 hours per week Permanent Are you a registered Social Worker with experience of working in Mental Health Services with at least 2 years post qualifying experience alongside leadership experience? We are looking to recruit a Team Manager for our Mental Health North Team. The Mental Health North social work team is based at Riverside in Lowestoft and comprises of a Senior Practitioner, Social Workers and Independence and Wellbeing Practitioners. You will work closely with system partners to provide high standards of social work to the people of Suffolk, who are also receiving a service from NHS Mental Health Services, including carrying out both our statutory duties under the Care Act 2014 and those under the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007). The team is part of the Adult Social Care (ASC) Mental Health and Learning Disability and Autism Service, which is countywide. In Mental Health we have 4 locality teams, a forensic team and a review team. We are also responsible for the delivery of the county wide AMHP service. There is a strong sense of togetherness within the service. Your Role And Responsibilities Advise, support and supervise a team of social workers and independence and wellbeing practitioners, encouraging a culture of continued learning Ensure the team meet Suffolk County Council’s statutory duties under the relevant legislation and guidance for adults with support needs and their carers promote intervention that strengthens independence and support networks, maintains wellbeing and contributes to desired outcomes including multiagency safeguarding and risk management Oversee collaboration with statutory, private and voluntary services to deliver an effective joint response to health and social care needs including S117 support You will need a Social Work qualification recognised by Social Work England alongside Social Work England registration evidence of continued professional development ability to adopt a collaborative approach through effective partnership working with people, families and wider services to address concerns a passion for improving the lives of people of Suffolk.
