Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Educated to GCSE standard to include English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above (or equivalent).
2. NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service and Administration, or equivalent knowledge base
Desirable criteria
3. Experienced user of University Hospitals Dorset outpatient IT appointment system, eCAMIS / EPR knowledge
Experience
Essential criteria
4. Experience of clerical duties in an office/administration environment
5. Experience in the use of IT / computer skills
6. Customer service experience
Desirable criteria
7. Experience of working in the NHS or on a reception desk

8. Excellent communications in person, via telephone and written
9. Ability to respond to a range of people in a courteous and professional manner
10. Ability to work as part of a busy team and also own initiative
11. Ability to deal with emotionally stressful situations and resolve confrontational issues both face to face and via telephone
12. To understand and be able to maintain confidentiality
13. Competent in using Microsoft Office Software
14. Able to demonstrate attention to detail and to work with accuracy when undertaking repetitive tasks
15. Good keyboard skills requiring high percentage of accuracy.
