Business Intellegence Manager The Role – Business Intelligence Manager The Business Intelligence (BI) Manager will play a crucial role in managing company-wide data for business reporting, ensuring data integrity, and delivering insights that drive informed decision-making across the organisation. This role is responsible for overseeing all data sources and data management practices, ensuring the accuracy of reporting, and establishing a single source of truth for the business. The BI Manager will design and manage dashboards, track KPIs, and ensure that the links between data in existing systems (SAP, Salesforce, Autotask and Access) and future systems, are properly aligned. Additionally, this role will be pivotal in enforcing data security, governance, and validation standards. As a key part of Project Phoenix, the BI Manager will also play a vital role in all aspects of reporting, identifying cross-functional synergies, and supporting data migration efforts to ensure a smooth transition to the new integrated system. What you will be doing? Take ownership of key reporting for Board, Leadership and external parties. Lead the planning cycle for all trading entities, covering P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, by incorporating key assumptions, strategic initiatives, and essential inputs to ensure alignment with the company's long-term objectives. Run accurate and insightful modelling and data analysis, applying accounting principles to understand profitability streams, providing critical insights that support board-level decisions to drive business growth and profitability. Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for CAE, ensuring they align with company objectives. Proactively identify financial and operational risks and opportunities related to business performance, reporting processes and data accuracy, ensuring insights are used to mitigate risks and capitalise on growth opportunities. Ensure reporting encompasses both financial and non-financial data, with a deep understanding of key business drivers. Validate and verify data accuracy and support departments to apply the same governance across all systems. Work to reconcile any discrepancies between systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Autotask and Access. Maintain the integrity of the "single source of truth" for business reporting. Based on a thorough review of existing processes, implement changes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data and reporting. Work closely with the Head of IT Operations to establish and enforce data governance practices that ensure compliance with data security regulations, such as GDPR. Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory data requirements and work closely with the Head of Finance to meet all reporting obligations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data literacy across the organisation. Project Phoenix Lead data driven activities, ensuring that all data workflows are properly documented and aligned with new system requirements. Identify and develop future skills requirements to ensure continuity of reporting from new systems such as SAP Analytics Cloud. Oversee and support the data migration process, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity during the transition from legacy systems to new integrated platforms. Play a key role in change management efforts, including user training on new BI tools, dashboards, and reporting functionalities. Work closely with other functions to ensure data flow and reporting synergies across departments. Post qualification experience with a proven track record of success in managing business intelligence, data management, or financial analysis. Highly articulate with analytic mindset and good attention to detail. Proficient in BI tools and able to investigate and manipulate complex data sets and provide actionable insights. Modelling skills, advanced Excel. Knowledge of data governance. Knowledge of SAP 4Hana, SAP Analytics Cloud or data analytics tools desirable. Experience of business process reviews and system implementation. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent and degree educated. Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving performance.
