Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Civil Engineering Site Manager / Site Agent on behalf of an international tier 1 civil engineering contractor to work on a large ongoing project around the Leeds area. The contractor has a huge name in the industry for delivering quality & delivering results for clients across the UK & further afield. They are looking to add to their team with the addition of another Site Engineer, initially working on a large highways project near Leeds (2 years duration). Further work secured across the North of England following this. Project values with this team: £100m to £1bn. On offer is also the opportunity to take advantage of this leading contractor's major development plan for staff. Central to this development is the Engineers, Site Agent's & Site Manager's as they will grow to be the next cohort of senior management with this business. They are passionate about training plans and funding degrees/tickets & chartership for their staff to always increase their capabilities across the business. Responsibilities as Agent / Manager: Manage project sections at all stages Writing & updating site documentation Cost control with QS & commercial counterparts Attend meetings on sites Temporary Works management & involvement with lift plans Management of sub-contractors Construction Phase Plans Project reports Daily H&S checks on site Daily briefings with Sub Agents & Works Managers on sections Keeping site file up to date regularly Experience required: Candidates must have proven experience at Site Manager / Site Agent level with a principal contractor on Civil Engineering / Highways projects (values £50m) Site Engineer background is advantageous Experience with contract changes, NEC3 / NEC4, cost control desired. Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree). Must hold: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and Full Driver's License. Remuneration: A salary of up to £64,000 (dependent upon experience) plus: Company car choice, fuel, annual leave option to buy or sell 5 days, 7% pension scheme & much more.
