Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. MRCP
2. Certification of Completion of Specialist Training
3. Accreditation in general internal medicine and gastroenterology
Desirable criteria
4. Higher Degree
Registration
Essential criteria
5. On GMC registered Medical Practitioner
6. GMC specialist registration or within 6 months of CCT
Knowledge and Expertise
Essential criteria
7. IT Skills and computer Literacy
8. Experience in managing acute gastroenterology / general level II hepatology
9. Skilled in clinical gastroenterology and endoscopic investigations
Desirable criteria
10. NHS experience within the last 3 years
11. Interest in the development of out-patient management of liver disease
12. General ERCP skills and or delivery
13. Experience in service Redesign
Teaching
Essential criteria
14. Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff
Management and Audit
Essential criteria
15. Competent in medical audit
16. An understanding of the Health Service agenda for the next 10 years and corporate governance
Desirable criteria
17. Evidence of management training.
18. An understanding of techniques to improve efficiency and productivity of clinic processes
Research/publications

19. Good track record of publications in gastroenterology / hepatology or a related field
