Job overview
East Sussex mental health services have recently been awarded an uplift in the funding of services for people with psychosis. As part of this we are thrilled to be able to offer a Band 7 Senior Nurse Practitioner across the East Sussex Rehab Pathway for those experiencing Psychosis. This post will work across both our community and inpatient teams. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting service users on their own individual recovery journey. We have established coproduction principles and work closely with our experts by experience to maintain and grow a recovery orientated culture. Sussex partnership is a centre of excellence for psychosis-based research and there are opportunities to be involved in national research trials as well as local innovation to help develop and grow our service and the evidence base. This role provides an opportunity to further develop own skills with the view to share learning. We have well established supervision and special interest groups and we encourage innovative and collaborative practice. You would be joining a strong network of clinicians interested in psychosis across the trust and within East Sussex.
Main duties of the job
This exciting and rewarding opportunity is open to people seeking a preceptorship opportunity starting at band 7 to 8a or those looking for a new challenge at senior 8a level.
We are looking for a clinician who has an interest in working with clients experiencing psychosis and who can demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to providing evidenced-based, trauma informed, high-quality clinical approaches and interventions. The area covered by this post is East Sussex, working across the locality who are also peripatetic working within their roles. The post will be based across both Eastbourne and Hastings Community teams and Amberstone Hospital in Hailsham.

We are seeking an enthusiastic person who has experience of & interest in working with people who have severe and enduring mental health problems within a recovery oriented & trauma informed approach. You would be a key member of the multi-disciplinary team leadership team providing assessment, case management and evidence-based interventions. You will also support the team with formulation and reflective practice. If you are passionate about finding creative ways to engage people with psychosis and offer evidence-based interventions and work collaboratively with the wider MDT, we would love to hear from you.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with current registration (mental health / LD/ Adult) appropriate to the job role
* Degree/diploma level supplemented by specialist qualification, training, experience, courses to masters level equivalent relevant to the care group
* Evidence of post registration training in relevant service area
* Completion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent
Knowledge/Experience
* Extensive post qualifying experience in relevant service area
* Experience of supervising staff and students
* Able to manage a caseload of patients with complex mental health needs
* Comprehensive knowledge of interventions specific to service area
* Awareness of Trust policies and service specification
