How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Our Industrial Operations team is key to the success as a business and an integral part of Air Liquide. We are now looking to appoint a Cryogenic Maintenance Technician to work within our Bulk and On-site Asset Maintenance Team based out of our Coleshill facility. This position involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing tankers, to ensure they meet high maintenance standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tankers and HGV equipment, as well as knowledge of related fields like hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical controls. The role also requires basic computer skills and the ability to document work effectively. You will be working as part of a small team with a primary focus on ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of Air Liquide UK's mobile and fixed equipment assets, specialising in cryogenic process and mechanical maintenance tasks. Ideally you will have a good background in a service/maintenance role within a busy workshop environment. While full training on Company equipment and activities (including full product familiarisation) will be provided, industrial experience of pumps, pipe systems, electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance would be an advantage. You will also be self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines with minimum supervision, team focused and be able to organise your own work and resources where required. Execution of repair and maintenance activities on various types of compressed gas, liquid cryogenic storage and dispense equipment in line with company procedures and legal requirements. Hands on mechanical fitting of process equipment and pipework systems to ensure optimum operational and safety performance. Provide operational support for plant equipment with regard to inspection, installation and repairs. Perform off site repairs to bulk and on-site storage and distribution systems, in line with relevant regulations (ADR, PSSR), including activities required on customer sites. Provide test and commissioning support for new and refurbished fleet and fixed asset equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety standards are achieved Maintaining documentation compliance in accordance with Air Liquide and legal standards for all maintenance activities, using both paper based and electronic systems Undertaking all activities in accordance with relevant Air Liquide safety policies, standards and procedures and proactively promoting a safety first culture. Performing troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify faults quickly and effectively ensuring optimal uptime of equipment Providing technical assistance and guidance, as required to other areas of the Air Liquide business clusters Contribute to an on call support team on a rota basis to ensure effective control of out of hours technical issues ___________________ Are you a MATCH? Strong hands on technical background, preferably within the chemical industry. Alternative relevant industrial experience will be considered Very strong focus on safe work practices and a logical approach to problem solving Sound knowledge of mechanical fitting principles, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&ID's Operational experience of installation, maintenance and repairs on mechanical process equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Experience in fabrication and welding of pressurised or non-pressurised equipment would be advantageous. Good level of mechanical and technical 'know how', incorporating process driven thinking to ensure safe, efficient and repeatable performance within a role. Working knowledge / understanding of plant process instrumentation and controls, electrical control and safety systems. Experience in electrical installations, process control and electrical fault finding would be an advantage It is also important that you have a flexible attitude due to the nature of our business being a 24/7 UK wide operation.
