Company Overview: Torque Consulting is currently working with a well-established engineering company who have been working within the ventilation industry for over 20 years. With a strong reputation for manufacturing high-quality stainless steel equipment, we are looking for a skilled Project Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD and design.
Role Overview: As a Project Engineer you will play a critical role in managing and executing projects from initial design through to installation. Your primary responsibilities will involve producing technical drawings, managing projects on-site, and ensuring that all designs meet the specified requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage projects from design through to installation, ensuring timely and successful completion.
* Conduct site surveys and measurements to produce accurate technical drawings and plans for client approval.
* Utilize AutoCAD software to produce 2D and isometric manufacturing drawings, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
* Draft and prepare layout drawings for structures, components, and devices within the commercial kitchen ventilation systems.
* Produce draft designs and diagrams according to given specifications.
* Prepare detailed drawings for sheet metal components, including calculations for dimensions and allowances.
* Compile data and create specification sheets to guide the manufacturing process.
* Revise and update drawings and layouts to accommodate changes or enhancements.
* Ensure that all designs and installations comply with safety procedures and construction standards.
* Utilize Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel) for project management and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in project management, particularly in the engineering or manufacturing sectors.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to produce both 2D and isometric drawings.
* Experience in creating technical drawings for sheet metal components and other structural elements.
* Strong understanding of design principles, safety procedures, and construction standards.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to travel to project sites as required, with flexibility for overnight stays (covered by the company).
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on project requirements.
* Overnight hotel stays may be required due to project travel, with costs covered by the company.
