To drive and lead the analysis of data within the Rainwater Management Team. This is to ensure that strategic plans in PR24 are robustly developed enabling the company to meet the challenges of changing competition, regulation, and environmental requirements. To support the design and implementation of the rainwater management strategy, incorporating elements of integrated water management including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Natural Flood Management (NFM) in an exciting and wide-ranging role.
1. Assisting in the development and implementation of key strategies needed to help the business achieve customer promises and outcomes throughout AMP7 and beyond.
These strategies are to be centred on the long term, at lowest whole life cost and potential greatest multi capital value that meets customer needs at an acceptable level of risk and cost.
1. Contribute to the assessment and response to performance and budget changes to optimise the company performance and reputation for AMP7 and the longer term.
2. Support the delivery of the Rainwater Management Plans, assessing where and how to meet the challenges of organisational drivers such as improving capacity and delivering targets.
3. Provide timely data to relevant stakeholders to ensure they can process data relating to wastewater strategies, methodologies and guidance notes.
4. Provide analytical support and guidance in relation to Wastewater ODI performance, strategies and emerging issues such as how to identify opportunities to embed sustainable drainage and natural flood management into drainage areas.
5. Analysis and data capture of various data sets as part of Advanced WINEP opportunity identification and prioritisation.
6. Data capture and governance of key reporting metrics associated to rainwater management projects across various programmes.
7. Engagement with operations to verify data and support improvements to data quality to improve risk identification.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Degree or equivalent in a numerate or scientific discipline.
2. Excellent analytical reasoning, project management skills and communication skills.
3. Computer literate and have detailed knowledge around data interpretation, statistics, and related techniques.
4. Knowledge of statistical languages and systems including but not limited to; Alteryx, GIS, Tableau and SQL.
5. Good organisational skills to ensure that work is prioritised and managed through to completion.
6. Ability to interact with and present to external stakeholders, including translating datasets into valuable business insight.
7. An understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a regulated water company.
8. Understanding, enthusiasm and persuasive character when explaining or discussing climate resilience, sustainable drainage systems and natural flood management.
9. Good understanding of the interaction between rivers, networks and catchments.
10. A valid driving licence.
