Driller (Rotary) This exciting and challenging Driller opportunity based anywhere in the Central Belt of Scotland requires an individual with a technical background and demonstrable experience in the geotechnical and land drilling sector. The successful candidate must have rotary drilling experience and possess an NVQ 2 Level Drilling qualification. Due to continued and sustained growth in Scotland, and a significant increase in workload, our client is now wishing to recruit several Rotary Drillers. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be nominally based from the Central Belt head offices, and joining an experienced and enthusiastic team of staff delivering geotechnical, geo-environmental and site / ground investigation, drilling and stabilisation services to a varied client base. Additionally, you will be required to log site information and produce progress or completed work reports. As a Driller you will primarily be responsible for safely setting up and advancing drilling activities, including sampling and backfilling boreholes in accordance with the specification provided by the client. The Role Comply to all company and site specific HSEQ policies at all times Responsible for crews, site operatives and sub-contractors Attend inductions, training and EH&S meetings as and when required Attend and successfully carry out all assigned duties to deliver projects safely and timely Work with Project Managers and Site Engineers to ensure field work is delivered safely and efficiently whilst maintaining high quality standards Produce site records including, but not limited to; daily drilling logs, pre-start drilling rig checks, risk assessments and reports Undertake multiple site / ground investigations utilising drilling rigs and techniques in accordance with the appropriate specification Produce reports based upon precise data, relevant information, ground conditions and any other specific project requirements The Person Demonstrable experience of various project-based site / ground / geotechnical drilling techniques, with the ability to use and operate a wide variety of rotary rigs and equipment Reading and understanding of site / project specifications and drawings A good understanding of adopting varied techniques pertaining to the ground / site conditions Possess an NVQ Level 2 Drilling and 3-5 years experience of being a Rotary Driller An awareness of project specifications and contract documents An ability to produce reports that are easily digested based on gathering large amounts of technical information from multiple sites Highly organised and effective, with the ability to plan and schedule your own workload with the minimum of supervision ADZN1_UKTJ
