We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Autism Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at a specialist SEN secondary school in Bolton. Our school provides a nurturing environment for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and other additional learning needs.
The Role:
Support students with Autism and additional learning needs in their day-to-day education and development.
Engage students in learning activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience.
Work within our specialist SEND facilities to create a structured and supportive environment.
Encourage social and emotional development, promoting independence and confidence.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet students’ individual needs.
What We’re Looking For:
A patient, caring, and proactive attitude.
No direct experience required – personal experience supporting individuals with Autism will be considered.
A genuine passion for working with young people with SEND.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to adapt and be flexible to meet the needs of students.
