This exciting opportunity offers an unmatched route of career progression, and a great family feel working environment What You Can Expect Location – Borehamwood Work type – Permanent The Talent & Payroll Administrator supports the goals of the Talent Department and wider business operations by managing day-to-day administrative duties across the employee lifecycle, including payroll, benefits, recruitment, learning and development, and employee engagement. As a key member of the Talent Team, this role ensures a seamless and compliant employee experience while championing the company’s values and culture. The Talent & Payroll Administrator will collaborate closely with other departments, fostering strong working relationships to ensure smooth operations and consistent communication across the business. Main Responsibilities as a Talent & Payroll Administrator Promoting company values and culture across the organisation. Supporting the company’s long-term and short-term goals. Ensuring the employee lifecycle (from hire to exit) is documented and compliant. Actively supporting training, learning, and development initiatives. Managing staff salaries with accuracy and timeliness. Manage the Talent Team shared inbox – responding to and/or redirecting queries to the Talent Advisors. Manage the Payroll shared inbox – responding to and/or redirecting queries to the Talent Advisors. Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process, including compliance checks (e.g., right-to-work documents, salary brackets), sending contracts and offer letters, welcome emails, and ensuring systems are accurately updated with new starter information. Maintain and update all employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support Talent Advisors in writing and issuing formal letters, such as change of terms letters, performance management letters, salary review letters, etc. Create and update job specifications as required. Assist with various Talent Team projects, such as creating PowerPoint presentations, editing internal publications, and contributing to their development. Plan and coordinate company events, such as Christmas parties and other organisational initiatives. Manage office-related tasks such as ordering supplies. Update the benefits platform with new starters, leavers, and employees who have passed probation. Raise invoices for site staff salary and training costs for recharging purposes. Take minutes in meetings as required. Manage and process monthly payroll. Oversee and manage salary sacrifice, SMP, SSP, absence deductions, and other payroll-related adjustments. Maintain the in-house payroll system, ensuring staff records are up to date with changes such as bank details, addresses, tax codes, pension contributions, and other variables. Respond to and resolve payroll queries from employees and line managers, and issue necessary communications regarding payroll. Record and calculate deductions or additions to pay as required. Process monthly payroll, including payment of expenses. Maintain and monitor HMRC reporting and payments. Manage the pension portal, including checking for changes, opt-outs, and submitting contributions. Complete payroll reports and budget reports for record-keeping purposes. Issue P60s, P11Ds, and P45s as required. Skills, Qualifications, and Experience An approachable and friendly demeanour. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, including data entry, reporting, and basic formulas. Familiarity with PowerPoint or Canva for creating visual content. Administrative experience in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Previous experience working with payroll systems or HR software (desirable). Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve issues efficiently.
