Main duties of the job
The Chef - Bank position at Barchester Healthcare involves working as part of the catering team to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. The successful candidate will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus while working closely with residents to tailor the menus to their preferences. The role requires a personable and warm approach, along with experience in working with fresh seasonal food and a good understanding of nutrition. The candidate will also be responsible for managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, working within budget, and leading and motivating the team.

Qualifications
* The successful candidate must hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification and have experience in helping lead and inspire a team. They should also have a good understanding of HACCP and experience of working with fresh seasonal food.
