As the Nightshift Warehouse 2IC, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the smooth operation of our warehouse during night hours. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all activities are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Warehouse Manager in organising and coordinating nightshift operations while leading and guiding a team of up to 20 staff.
2. Supervise and support warehouse staff to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
3. Oversee the preparation and delivery of customer orders including; picking/ packing/ labelling and loading of customer orders.
4. Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations.
5. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
6. Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
7. Handle any issues or concerns that arise during the nightshift, escalating to the Warehouse Manager when necessary.
8. Ensure that all documentation, such as shipping/receiving records and inventory reports, are accurately maintained.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferable.
2. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
4. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
5. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
6. Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety regulations.
7. Proficiency in using warehouse management software and MS Office applications.
8. Class 2 licence would be an advantage.
