An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Therapy Service at Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Senior Rehabilitation Assistant to join our friendly team at Daniels Rehabilitation Unit, Hillingdon Hospital, where we providemulti-disciplinary in-patient assessment and treatment for patients with a variety of neurological conditions.
This role will involve supporting Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the rehabilitation of patients, assisting them to reach their full potential and helping them return home.
We are looking for candidates who have the following:
• experience of working as part of a health or other multidisciplinary team, ideally in a neurological rehab setting
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• an interest in supporting people with a neurological condition tomaximisetheir functional abilities.
• good time management and organisation skills with soundIT competency
• a willingness to undertake training in neuro-rehabilitation competencies and to work autonomously with patients with a variety of rehab needs.

Working autonomously and as part of a group, under the supervision of qualified therapy staff, you will undertake delegated clinical programmes;including implementing exerciseprogrammes,walking practice, and assisting with manual handling of dependent patients. You willsupport patients in carrying out cognitive and functional activities to maximise their independence. These will include practise of personal and domestic activities of daily living.
There will also be a requirement to do some administrative tasks. You will be an integral part of a supportive, friendly multidisciplinary team.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services.
