About the opportunity:
My client is currently seeking a Bid Manager to manage bids for the contracts team on projects that will range in value from £5M - £60M. The projects will be located from Scotland down to the South of England, but you will be based permanently from the office in London. You will work on heavy civil engineering projects including Highways Infrastructure, Marine infrastructure, tunnelling infrastructure, and Train Station upgrades. You will join an experienced team consisting of other Bid Managers, Bid Coordinators, and Bid Writers, and will liaise closely with the Estimating team. Many members of the Pre-Construction team come from an Engineering background, providing a wealth of knowledge on construction processes, which should enhance your development. My client is looking for a professional who can bring fresh ideas and new ways of thinking to help on their tenders. The Pre-Construction team has a friendly, sociable atmosphere with a strong family feel.
About the benefits and rewards:
For this permanent opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn between £70,000 and £75,000 per annum, depending on experience and suitability. Additionally, a generous package is offered, including a company vehicle or allowance, private health care, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), and an 8% employer pension contribution.
About the requirements:
To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Bid Manager with a Tier One main contractor in the civil engineering infrastructure sector. As this is an office-based role, you must reside within commutable distance from Paddington, London, and demonstrate stability of employment (please note, freelance candidates cannot be considered).
