What the Job Involves As the Group Manager (Property), you will oversee the Property Management and Information Teams to ensure effective management of the Council’s property assets. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing strategic asset management plans. Managing the allocation of building spaces in response to organizational changes. Ensuring compliance with statutory asset valuations and external audit requirements. Supervising annual asset valuation programmes in line with international standards. Providing valuation advice for diverse property transactions and purposes. Overseeing property reviews and identifying development opportunities. Managing the Council’s shops portfolio under best estate management practices. Leading the Council’s school playing fields improvement initiatives. Maintaining accurate land and property ownership records. Ensuring regulatory compliance for Council assets in health, safety and fire regulations.
