Are you passionate about outcomes for Children and their families?
We are looking for caring, passionate individuals to support separated families to positively co-parent and reduce parental conflict.
Role: Family Intervention Worker
Location: Home based with some travel for sessions in Peterborough
Salary: £12.69 per hour
Hours: Saturday work essential
Closing date: 21st March 2025
About the Role:
We are looking for experienced family support workers to join our team to deliver CAFCASS Improving Child and Family Arrangements (ICFA). ICFA helps families agree safe, beneficial and sustainable child arrangements. The role involves working alongside parents to improve outcomes for their individual family over a 12-week period.
Sessions can be arranged at suitable times for you and the families you are working with, allowing flexibility of days and times worked. The role involves some weekend work.
The Family Intervention Worker role is key in:
1. Reducing barriers and resistance to agreeing arrangements
2. Promoting positive communication within families
3. Ensuring children’s wishes and feelings are heard
To achieve the above, Family Intervention Workers explore the current situation and work with parents and their children to agree on a plan to break down any barriers, improve communication, observe family interactions during direct contact sessions, and agree on next steps to support parents in preparing a parenting plan for after ICFA has been completed.
Full training and support are provided to the successful candidate. This is an ideal role for applicants who have experience in childcare and/or social care.
If you wish to apply, please complete the online application form and return a CV/resume to jobs@childrenslinks.org.uk.
The successful applicant(s) will be appointed subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS check.
Due to the volume of applicants, we will get in touch only if selected for an interview.
This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
