Salary: £20,800+ (TBC on successful application and experience)
Contract: Temporary with the potential for Permanent appointment

If yes, we are looking for you! We have an exciting opportunity in SEND settings based in Northampton for children aged 5 to 11. If successfully appointed, you would be responsible for supporting the class teacher as well as supporting individuals/small groups to facilitate their learning and social interaction. Many students require adapted learning materials and differentiated instruction as they come from a variety of circumstances and are taught a broad and balanced curriculum which is effectively differentiated to accommodate ability, gaps in learning and personal development.
Requirements:
CACHE/NVQ Level 2/3 or HLTA
Experience of: Supporting at Key Stage 1 and 2.
Teaching students with SEND (predominantly SEMH and ASD).
Knowledge and understanding of: the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children (e.g., classroom organisation and learning strategies).
Knowledge of curriculum and national strategies; the monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting of students’ progress; the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEN and Child Protection; EHCP review process, effective reasonable adjustments and support; the positive links necessary within school and with all its stakeholders; effective teaching and learning styles.
