The Jungle Cruise Crew Members are part of our Animal Adventure team located at the heart of the Longleat site. In additional to some animal care duties, the main focus of this role is to operate our shorts boat trips around the Half Mile lake and to educate visitors on the animals they will see along the way. Reporting to the Head of the Animal Adventure team, your role will involve the following. Key Duties Will Include Operating Jungle Cruise and delivering commentary throughout Park open days. Carrying out animal observations of those present in the lake and record data as instructed. Engaging guests during the course of duties in line with culture of exceptional customer services, ensure good knowledge of the park to deliver information to guests when needed. Participation in education initiatives as instructed. Carrying out Jungle Cruise routines with full understanding of all emergency procedures, recoding cruises, reporting and advise on safety matters. About You 5 GCSE’S (pass) or equivalent including basic Numeracy and English skills An interest and passion for animals is essential. Willingness to liaise with guests and colleagues across a variety of levels. An excellent work ethic and ability to work on your own and as part of a team. Ability to work efficiently and at pace, with excellent time management skills. Must be prepared to work antisocial hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
