Sales Executive European Road Freight
Our client is a major player in the European Logistics market, having seen significant growth and expanded their business to offer Logistics & Customs Documentation Services to both British & European manufacturers. We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Salesperson who is looking for sustainable career progression in their next role. Product training on trailer freight is provided; we are looking for the right sales person with excellent sales experience gained from working in a B2B sales environment.
The role requires:
1. Excellent telesales and client development, maximizing business potential.
2. Identifying potential new business market sectors.
3. Helping to design and produce specific Customs-focused presentations tailored to client needs.
4. Targeting relevant Logistics Managers/Supply Chain Managers.
5. New business sales canvassing for volume export or import traffics.
6. Preparing presentations and quotes for new business.
7. Visiting prospective clients in the UK and in Europe.
8. Account management for specific clients.
9. Opening credit accounts for new clients.
10. Helping to manage a small but dynamic sales team.
11. Assisting the Operations team to solve commercial problems.
After a brief initial training period, the job will involve the research and identification of suitable manufacturers and industries to target, including both existing and prospective clients. Ongoing training will be needed to properly understand the complexities and specific requirements of international transport since Brexit.
The successful candidate will be both persuasive and forceful with:
1. Sales experience at a senior level negotiating new business gains of typically £15-£20K plus.
2. Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
3. New business sales background.
4. The ability to make structured and effective cold calls through to closing.
5. Strong organizational and administrative skills.
6. IT and computer literate.
7. Strong tenacity and work ethic.
8. Team player.
9. Language skills (French or German) are an advantage but not essential.
If you have an excellent sales background, with energy and drive to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment, and can communicate effectively at all levels, we want to hear from you. We can offer an excellent package including a substantial salary, plus a generous commission with OTE of approx. £55,000.
