Housing Diversity Network (HDN) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the social housing sector. Based in Bradford, we work nationally to support organisations in fostering inclusive cultures through mentoring, training, consultancy, and networking opportunities.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Membership Services Co-ordinator to develop, manage and enhance relationships with our current and prospective members. Acting as the first point of contact, you will ensure members receive exceptional service, helping them maximise the benefits of their membership.
You will play a key role in membership retention and growth, working closely with the wider HDN team to implement engagement strategies, coordinate events, and promote HDN’s services. This role also involves regular travel to meet members, attend industry events, and strengthen HDN’s national presence.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Engagement & Support
1. Act as the main contact for members, providing information, support, and resolving queries.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with members, ensuring they receive maximum value and engagement through regular updates, targeted communications, and face-to-face contact.
3. Gather feedback from members to help improve HDN’s membership offer and services.
4. Support member events including networking events, webinars, workshops and conferences.
Business Development
1. Proactively seek to increase membership uptake and generate new business opportunities for HDN.
2. Promote additional HDN services to existing members, ensuring they are aware of all available opportunities.
3. Identify partnership and sponsorship opportunities to enhance HDN’s membership offering.
4. Support the development of new services that add value for members.
Project & Data Management
1. Manage the onboarding process for new members, ensuring they are fully aware of the benefits and resources available.
2. Maintain accurate membership records and engagement data using our CRM system.
3. Analyse membership trends to inform strategies for retention and engagement.
4. Work with the marketing team to develop campaigns that drive membership growth.
5. Identify challenges affecting membership retention and propose solutions for improvement.
6. Liaise with Senior Consultant and Associates about training and consultancy work for members, providing coordination support.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious individual who is passionate about building relationships and delivering outstanding customer service.
* Experience in membership services, customer engagement or account management.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently speak about HDN to senior leaders within member organisations.
* Proactive and results-driven, with a focus on membership growth and retention.
* Excellent organisation and project management skills, able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Experience using CRM systems and data analysis tools to monitor and improve engagement.
* Hold a passion and genuine interest in equality, diversity, and inclusion.
* Willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis for member meetings and events.
* Event coordination experience is desirable.
