Work Schedule: Regular early morning, daytime, evening or Saturday hours. Limited Sunday hours.
Position Description:
Position Summary: Lifeguards will supervise the pool for a number of activities including classes, open pool, rental groups such as church groups and scout groups, summer conference groups, swim meets, etc. Duties include regular testing of pool water, daily maintenance of pool / pool area, and other typical pool duties. Lifeguards will also have the opportunity to be instructors for swim lessons.
Experience Required: Current lifeguard, first aid, CPR and AED certifications are required. Red Cross Water Safety Instruction is encouraged, but can be trained for those guards desiring to teach swimming lessons.

Dress Code Requirements: Lifeguards should wear swim suit and their lifeguard t-shirts. Shorts may also be worn over the bathing suit.

Primary Duties:
1. Constant supervision of the pool to maintain a safe environment for all present. This includes ensuring that all pool rules are enforced.
2. Check the chlorine and pH in both pools according to established schedule.
3. Operate pool vacs 2-3 times per week as instructed by aquatics director.
4. Keep pool deck clean and organize equipment as needed to maintain a safe environment.
5. Move lane lines as needed to accommodate the activities of the various groups using the pool.
6. Other occasional projects as determined by aquatics director.
7. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
