Role Overview: As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant in Leeds, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN).
* Assisting classroom teachers in implementing tailored learning strategies and interventions.
* Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Collaborating with school staff and external professionals to address individual student needs effectively.
* Contributing to the planning and delivery of educational activities to support students' social, emotional, and academic progress.
Requirements:
* A degree in Psychology or a related field.
* Genuine interest in working with children and supporting their learning and development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to working with students with SEN.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the school environment.
* Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is desirable but not essential.
