A rare opportunity has arisen to apply for the post of Headteacher of Brougham Street Community Nursery school, a unique, outstanding setting in Skipton combining a maintained nursery for 3 & 4year olds with school registered childcare provision for 0-3 year olds.
Our school is based in the heart of Skipton, a lovely market town in North Yorkshire, known as the ‘Gateway to the Dales’.

The governors are very proud of our school which has Circa 140 pupils across the 0-4 age range.Accessing variable hours, all year round. across three rooms age 0-2, 2-3 and 3-4 years.
Our staff team consists of 1 Early Years Teacher, 2 Room supervisors, 1 Staff & Resources Manager, 12 practitioners, GTA lunchtime staff, 4 Nursery Assistants, 1 Chef, 1 finance administrator and 1 admin assistant. We also benefit from Local Authority Bursar Support.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Head Teacher to lead this well established and popular nursery school in the heart of Skipton.We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to build on the work of our current Head Teacher and lead the next important stage of the school’s development.This is an exciting and unique role which requires leading a shared vision, strategy and ethos across the Nursery School and Child Care provision.
