We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant. This will be to join our team based in Southampton - Royal South Hants Hospital - Main Site.\n\nThis is a 12 month fixed term contract, working 25 hours per week. Monday-Friday 10am-3pm.\n\nThe salary for this role is from: £23,000 (depending on experience)\n\nRequirements for the role:\n\nQualifications - At least one of the below:\n\nProven experience in a building trade or building maintenance/ caretaker role.Additional Requirements:\n\nDriving licence is essential\nMust be comfortable using technological devices to log jobs.\nDesirable to have industry experience\nAbility to work alone and/or as part of a wider team as this role will require you to work cohesively with other Technical Disciplines.Please note, DBS Checks & DVLA checks will be required for this role.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure compliance in accordance with all NHSPS Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policies, relevant NHSPS Technical Guidance, Process and Procedures, Statutory Regulations, Approved Codes of Practice and any applicable aspects of HTMs.\nDeliver Scheduled, Reactive and Remedial maintenance services as directed by the PPM planner (CAFM), helpdesk or Technical Services Supervisor, ensuring that operational standards are always maintained This can include, but is not limited to, basic/routine maintenance activities as instructed, building fabric, general monthly PPM tasks, plumbing, drainage, joinery, and general decoration repairs.\nTo maintain effective site log books at all NHS premises where required, ensuring that they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.\nComplete suitable risk assessments prior to undertaking basic/routine works in line with instructions within any relevant permit or work plan.\nUnderstand the principles of fire risk assessment and relevant precautions within the workplace.Benefits:\n\nOn-Call allowance (rota dependant)\nCompany van and tools provided.\n27 days holiday (plus bank holidays on top)\nAccess to group personal pension plan including SMART contributions into which the company will contribute up to 6% towards your savings,\nTraining and development opportunities\nNHS Bluelight discounts.
