JOB TITLE: Trainee Technician
LOCATION: Hortonwood – Telford
HOURS: 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm / 10pm – 6am Rotating Weekly.
Job Purpose: The Foiling Technician will be responsible for the Setting-Up of the foiling process and overseeing the Running of the process. Key aspects of this role will be working flexibility in meeting production requirements and fault rectification / problem solving throughout the production process. A ‘Right first Time’ positive attitude toward process / product conformity and continual improvement (TPM & SPC) is critical.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Monitor and record the required process parameters at the required times.
2. Carry our relevant checks on assigned products as required by the product quality plan.
3. Record scrap information. Segregate all non-conforming products from good production.
4. Communicate information via the relevant communication channels and set and produce quality product.
5. Perform technical activities adhering with the order and timescale set in the production schedule.
6. Alert relevant people to process and product concerns.
7. Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Shift Co-ordinator and the training plan.
8. Project a positive attitude in all aspects of work and collaborate with cross functional departments in order to promote a strong team culture.
9. Engage positively with Statistical Process Control (SPC) to aid efficiency and continual improvement.
10. Safeguard property issued by the company.
11. Control the Shutdown of the Foiling line (including emergency shutdown).
12. Set the process to line-specific job variances.
13. Install, uninstall and store all foiling line tooling.
14. Ensure workplace is clean and tidy – all housekeeping procedures followed associated with tasks.
15. Engage positively with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to improve and maintain the integrity of production, safety and quality systems.
16. Carry out low level preventative maintenance tasks when required.
17. Start-Up the foiling line.
18. Fault rectification and problem solving.
19. Transfer the knowledge and skills among the team (others) as a Mentor.
20. Undertake reasonable duties as and when required.
21. Adhere to Shutdown, Setting and Start-Up procedures.
22. Adhere to Fault Rectification Procedure.
