About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:
* To family find for children with a plan of adoption
* To prepare, assess, train and support prospective adopters up to the point of adoption order.
* To attend planning meetings, reviews, team meetings, and inter-agency meetings as necessary or appropriate.
* To maintain electronic case records, prepare reports and complete administrative tasks as required by the Adoption Agency.
* To present reports to adoption panel and occasionally give evidence in court.
* To liaise with and work in closecollaborationwith children’s social workers and other departmental staff and staff from other local authorities and agencies as required.
* To organise work according to departmental priorities and to be responsible for managing own workload within legal and procedural requirements.
This post holder is responsible for ensuring that Safeguarding andChildProtection policies are adhered to, and concerns are raised in accordance with these policies
About you
We are ideally seeking a social worker with three years post qualifying experience in relevant work settings, such as within Children’s Services or Family Placement, and who has excellent assessment, analytical and report writing skills.
The applicant will need to demonstrate that theyunderstandthe permanency planning process, the needs of children who require an adoptive placement, and that they are keen to develop their knowledge and skills further. The successful applicant also needs to be computer literate.
