We have a vacancy and are looking for candidates with ocean freight experience of 2-3 years minimum.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience in Export Seafreight and Cross trade essential.
2. Must drive.
3. Hybrid working after training.
4. Location: Luton.
5. Salary: up to £35k.
Duties Include:
1. As part of the operations team, learn all customer processes and be ready to support colleagues as required.
2. Provide a high level of service for customers and learn and develop skills relating to worldwide event logistics.
3. Drive own performance and challenge others positively to achieve KPIs.
4. Participate in reviews with the team to identify areas of improvement, reviewing KPIs and enhancing overall service quality.
5. Collaborate with operations, warehouse team, and other functions to ensure smooth customer-related process flow.
6. Prioritize work tasks and call out to team leader/supervisor where assistance is required, process improvement is needed, or where own workload enables assistance to other colleagues.
7. Take an active role in personal development and coaching, positively pushing line managers for 1-2-1 time, feedback, and identification of training needs.
8. Serve as the primary contact for at least one of the team's top customers and provide support to other colleagues within the department.
9. Implement DGF people processes in a consistent manner to ensure excellent service delivery, customer retention, profitability, and adherence to station and own KPIs and metrics.
10. Ensure that all external and internal inquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.
11. Escalate issues if required.
Key Skills:
1. Minimum three years Operations (AFR/OFR) experience with an excellent knowledge of Operations processes and systems, ideally with experience of using CW1 and MS Excel.
2. A proven ability to identify and meet customer and operational needs in a professional and friendly manner.
3. Ability to understand and work within prescribed processes to achieve KPIs.
4. Results-driven with good attention to detail.
5. Good written and spoken English and excellent telephone and email skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills.
7. Able to prioritize and perform under pressure.
8. A good team player with the ability to identify and prioritize work for self and others.
9. Good commercial attitude.
10. A level education or broad GCSE level education.
