The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team.
Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Indirect Buyer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will you will be responsible for purchasing non car related goods (indirect) and services for various stakeholders across the company. Principal Accountabilities:
* End to end purchase of indirect good and services
* Pro-active communication with all relevant stakeholders to achieve the most effective procurement
* Prepare commercial specifications for proposal requests
* Arrange and facilitate meetings between stakeholders and suppliers when required
* Request quotations and negotiate optimum value with suppliers
* Review proposals and provide summary documentation to stakeholders
* Award orders with agreement from the relative stakeholders
* Manage all documentation for purchases including the raising of POs
* To report any delivery exceptions to stake holders in a timely manner to manage expectations
* Liaise between suppliers and stakeholders to resolve any supply issues
* Assist with invoice discrepancies when required
* Develop a thorough working knowledge of the company’s ERP system and contribute to its ongoing development
* Ensure compliance with purchasing and finance policies
Requirements
* CIPS qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is essential.
* Extensive experience of procurement in a fast-paced industry
* Proven strong negotiation skills
* Previous ERP experience
* Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and suppliers
* Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email
* Previous experience of MS applications including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
* Flexible attitude with the ability to work within a team in a high pressure rapidly changing environment
* Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture
