EMC Manufacturing Engineer (ATE)
At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for an EMC Manufacturing Engineer to provide Automated Test Equipment knowledge for Electrical testing. This role would work independently with an assigned workload, appropriate stamp or signatory approval to support day to day Electrical testing activities.
The scope for this role is:
* To create test programs to carry out continuity, insulation and functional testing on electrical assemblies & installations & provide technical support to these activities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A EMC MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
* Creation of test programs to carry out continuity, insulation & functional testing on electrical assemblies and installations (including full aircraft).
* Process design changes & introduce into current WIP test programs.
* Identification and implementation of improvements to the manufacture or build process and build logic with a specific focus on the testing activities with an active contribution in support of business project and improvement activities.
* Represent ATE Engineering in a Shop Support role, to provide technical knowledge during electrical testing activities.
* Create test programs to assist survey inspection activities on R&O electrical assemblies.
* Support with external suppliers for the procurement and manufacture of DITMCO test leads as well as other ATE Hardware.
* Provide information to support an impact analysis for the efficient introduction of change.
* Identify test lead requirements for current and future programs, to facilitate their availability for testing activities.
* Specific responsibilities for Employees are detailed within HSEMSM.
* You should take responsibility for understanding the Code of Ethics - Core Instruction No.PER.10.3 and making sure that you comply with it at all times whilst doing your job and, in particular, when acting for or on behalf of LHUK.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Skills/Knowledge.
* Educated to at least HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline and/or a time served apprenticeship, 3 years’ post-training experience desirable and 12 months ME experience.
* Good working knowledge of design engineering software and drawing interpretation.
* Good working knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams.
* Advanced knowledge of Engineering IT software.
* Working knowledge of proven analysis & problem solving techniques.
* Working knowledge of the Engineering change process and documentation, understand quality requirement of different aircraft programs.
* Able to navigate the LHD Intranet and the Company Operating System (COS).
