We have an excellent opportunity to join our Patient Safety and Quality Team to become our organisation's Head of Compliance and Assurance. The post holder will be the organisations lead and subject matter expert for CQC and compliance and will lead and support in developing mechanisms to ensure an improving compliance CQC rating. You will work close with the Chief Nurse and Executive Directors to provide a robust self-assessment framework that enables good outcomes and positive patient experiences. You will ensure that systems are in place to provide early reporting and escalation of quality and compliance standard issues through the Trust's governance framework and provide advice on mitigation and resolution. The post holder is responsible for ensuring systems are in place to facilitate the collection and collation of data and information to fulfil requests from external regulators. Why Work With Us We're part of the government's new hospital programme, and our multi-million-pound investment in our new acute medical unit, endoscopy training centre, day surgery and eye surgery unit and radiotherapy centre are helping us to reduce the time people are waiting for care and improving their experience of our NHS. Our exciting plans to deliver our new electronic patient record by 2025 will be a game-changer, helping us to transform the way we share information, deliver care and improve efficiency across Devon. We have a national reputation for our work to retain our midwifery workforce and take our responsibilities as an anchor organisation to grow our local workforce seriously. We are the first NHS trust in the South West to partner with the Open University to offer an exciting nursing degree which gives people in our community the opportunity to study closer to home and complete their clinical placements in our acute and community settings. We believe passionately that the best way to care for people is by focusing on what matters to them, involving them in decisions about their care, and providing personalised integrated care, close to where they live. Our preventative services, including our award-winning maternity smoking cessation service, are empowering people to take control of their health and wellbeing, reducing inequalities in our communities, and giving children the best start in life.
