JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading business in Brighouse as they look to recruit an experienced Credit and Accounts Administrator to join them on a permanent basis. This is an exciting challenge and a newly created role, on the back of the business being acquired and now a part of a group function. Reporting into a knowledgeable and supportive FD and working in a small finance team, my client is looking for a candidate with excellent credit control experience with wider accounting experience. You will be pro-active and excel at chasing outstanding debt and reducing debtor days. Additionally, you will have some wider knowledge in accounts; assisting with month-end reporting, quarterly VAT and supporting the PL function. This role will be 70% credit control. Credit Control Duties Responsible for maintaining credit control processes Follow out the correct credit checks, pre-emptive debt review and overdue debt chasing activities Ensure customer payments are received in a timely manner in accordance with the payment terms Monitoring customer retentions and chasing when due for payment Chase overdue accounts by telephone, email etc Reconciliation of sales ledger accounts and month end funding balances Liaising with group treasury Assisting colleagues in the finance department Wider Accounts Duties VAT returns Balance sheet reconciliations Month-end reporting from ERP system and Excel Invoice discounting Assisting with month-end, ledger shut down etc Location: Brighouse Salary: £30,000-£35,000 Benefits: Study support, free parking, pension scheme, healthcare scheme, dynamic and positive environment
