Job Summary:
This position is a field-based role and will travel daily to job sites mostly in Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities
* Operate various equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers, and directional bore machines for the installation or maintenance of underground utilities, and other duties as directed by the foreman.
* Embrace H&M’s safety culture including safe operation of equipment, appropriate PPE, and participation in daily and weekly safety talks.
* Place or maintain underground utilities, which could include digging around existing utilities, placing conduit, placing handholes, placing manholes, and backfilling & compacting.
* Perform daily maintenance of equipment including maintaining fluids, greasing equipment as required, and other routine maintenance as necessary.
* Familiarity with OSHA Regulations regarding trench safety is required.
Qualifications
* Minimum of two years of experience with construction, excavation, and related heavy equipment operation preferred.
* Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator license; a CDL A license is preferred.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
