At LPFT, our Community Forensic team, work with service users to support them to live their best lives in the community. We do this by providing specialist assessments and interventions for our patient group including those within the transforming care cohort.
We work with mentally disordered offenders who present a significant risk of harm to others by nature of their mental disorder, including those registered at MAPPA and those subject to conditional discharge under Part 3 of the Mental Health Act, Supervised Community Treatment Orders (CTO's) as well as those with complex needs/presentations. The team also provide services to the transforming care cohort meeting the above criteria.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for leading the team in the provision of high quality multi-disciplinary care, using clinical and operational expertise. You will share our Trust values and will be committed to providing care that is focused on recovery.
You should have substantial post registration experience of working with individuals with complex mental health needs, along with a sound understanding of the principles, ethos, assessments, and interventions associated with a forensic service. Additionally, you should have experience of providing effective clinical and managerial supervision and leadership to others.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Degree or equivalent in in health and social care and currently practising as RMN, Social Worker or RNLD
2. Holds professional registration with NMC or SWE with no restrictions on practice
3. Evidence of continued professional development related to professional registration
4. Completed a relevant course on teaching and assessing in clinical practice or equivalent

5. Management/Leadership training/qualification
6. Educated to masters level. Willingness to undertake further training relevant to post/clinical area

7. Significant post-registration experience of working with adults with mental health needs.
8. oSignificant post registration experience working within forensic settings and/or experience of working with service users involved within criminal justice system
