This is a brilliant opportunity to join our expanding community of talented, committed and inspirational colleagues.
Working in a dynamic, values-led organisation, this role is for those who are passionate about development and innovation within a lively college community.
We offer a range of benefits, including health and wellbeing support, flexible working, discounts on travel, parking and gym memberships through our exciting Benefits Platform, Green Car Scheme, Medicash, personal development opportunities, and attractive pension schemes. The college has invested heavily in the Motor Vehicle industry and has state-of-the-art facilities to support the development of skills within the trade.
The College has a dedicated Apprenticeship Team and is in a secure position to grow this provision to continue to meet the needs of the local and regional community.
We are looking to appoint an ambitious, dynamic Motor Vehicle Tutor/Assessor to join our team. You must be a highly skilled and motivated individual whose passion is to inspire students to excel and achieve the highest standards within the sector.
The Tutor/Assessor will be required to undertake whole class delivery within the college environment, undertake workplace assessments, and prepare apprentices for end-point assessment.
This role also includes carrying out reviews and setting action plans for apprentices, including SMART targets and the delivery of wider skills topics. The role will also include developing the College’s offer in this sector in conjunction with employer partners and awarding bodies.
Suitable candidates must have recognised industry qualifications/experience and ideally be confident in all aspects of classroom teaching and workplace assessment. Experience and qualifications in teaching and/or assessing Motor Vehicle at level 2 and level 3 and assessment qualifications (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent) are desirable; however, candidates without these will be considered and will need to work towards achievement as part of the role. Knowledge and/or experience of using an e-portfolio system would be beneficial.
The College reserves the right to interview for this post should we receive suitable candidates prior to the closing date.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Employees will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check, and a further check against the appropriate barred list. To comply with legislation, you are required to obtain a DBS check for your role. We will be asking Protocol National Ltd/Esafeguarding Ltd to undertake this process on our behalf.
