Our stunning care home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed facility located in Warrington, Cheshire. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care for residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful program of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, with full induction and ongoing training provided through our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on a permanent staff team, avoiding agency staff for over 4 years to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and residents trust. Additionally, all staff are paid the national living wage or above.
We are seeking a kind, caring, and motivated Head of Hospitality to join our team. This role involves organizing the Hospitality and Care Assistants to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for our residents. Responsibilities include dining room preparation, cleanliness, meal service in a timely and presentable manner, and team leadership including rotas, training, and supervision. The position offers a 40-hour contract with an hourly rate of £12.44. Shift times are 08:00-19:00, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Ensure high standards of hospitality service.
2. Support and assist visitors.
3. Inform the Chef of any individual resident requirements.
4. Follow cleaning schedules and procedures according to HACCP standards.
5. Adhere to all training provided.
6. Maintain proper records and reports, including cleaning schedules, work sheets, fridge temperatures, and HACCP paperwork.
7. Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the hospitality team to ensure quality care delivery during shifts.
8. Coach staff and participate in their ongoing development.
9. Promote safeguarding and the welfare of adults the postholder interacts with.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Experience as a Dining or Restaurant Supervisor is essential.
2. Previous experience in a care setting is desirable.
3. Effective communication skills are essential.
4. Participation in activities organized within the Home is required.
