Job Description This role is responsible for understanding fully the needs and opportunities of key influential customers to develop and implement specific account plans which deliver sustainable, profitable growth for and support our fantastic GB pig industry. Working with our highest contributing Swine customers, the role will involve collaborating across the species team to create clear and actionable mutual account plans for shared success. To support these aims, the role has an emphasis on customer knowledge and relationship development at all levels, with a particular emphasis on strategic development; collaborating across a close, effective, and talented swine species team within the Integrated Livestock Business Unit. You will partner with veterinary practices, integrators, and farms across Great Britain, through our innovative portfolio that spans biopharmaceuticals and technology. Responsibilities: Preparing and implementing customer key account plans to increase market share and market penetration, achieving agreed sales targets, within budget and in accordance with the overall Integrated Livestock Business Unit strategy Conducting analysis of the market and environment to identify opportunities for growth and manage risk Partnering with the Product Manager, Technical Manager & and other species team members to meet and exceed customer expectations Negotiating with business leaders to increase our brand presence and share of wallet within accounts Using a consultative selling approach to drive sales & relationships with accounts and solidify the position of our Animal Health business as a strategic partner Identifying and fostering influencer relationships within accounts, maximizing new business while maintaining and growing existing business Keeping veterinary clients up to date with our activities on farm, to ensure a cohesive service and to demonstrate the value we deliver Update our CRM (customer relationship management) system in a timely and thorough manner Skills & Experience: Science or Agricultural related qualification preferred In-depth knowledge of the relevant market; its developments, customers and direction Ability to use sales techniques including Key Account Management, with a good understanding of negotiation strategy and sales experience Strategic business analysis and planning Well-organised and solutions-focused Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Mature interpersonal skills Strong communication skills including written and spoken Unquestionable ethics and integrity Ability to work positively and effectively within a cross-functional team and matrix structure Closing date for applications: 12th February 2025 Current Employees apply HERE Current Contingent Workers apply HERE Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
