Air Liquide Healthcare is currently searching for an experienced HSE Manager to join the team and be responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe working environment for our teams across the UK and Ireland. As HSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental policies and programs to meet company objectives. You will lead on safety initiatives and ensure our ‘Safety First’ message is understood and put into practice as our number one priority in all areas. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards. Taking ownership of internal and external audits. Leading investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, dangerous occurrences, applying the latest root cause analysis to identify and monitor corrective actions. Conducting HSE training and education with employees across the business Facilitate local site safety awareness meetings, communicating on key topics and focusing on risk and road safety Chair the National HSE Committee and actively participate in Technical committee meetings. Act as Company Representative in external audits by regulatory and standards inspection bodies (e.g. HSE, NQA, etc.) within the UK. Are you a MATCH? The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about making a positive impact on workplace safety and environmental sustainability. You will also need- Previous experience in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) statute, regulations, requirements and standards A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role NEBOSH qualification Thorough knowledge of the different types of hazards in the workplace and of the hierarchy of controls Understanding of local environmental regulations.
