We're working with a leading organisation to find a dedicated Environment Manager who will be instrumental in overseeing environmental performance and regulatory adherence across a number of UK locations. This is a remote position with travel required to UK and overseas sites (1 week a month maximum). What you'll be doing: Designing and executing environmental plans aligned with company-wide sustainability objectives (such as Target Zero). Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental laws and standards at the UK, EU, and international levels. Keeping up with evolving environmental legislation and ensuring the business meets its legal obligations. Supporting site teams during audits, evaluating outcomes, and reporting on key environmental metrics. Leading training initiatives to raise awareness and enhance skills in environmental compliance and best practices. Continuously improving Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and maintaining high operational standards. Building strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership. Setting clear environmental compliance goals and driving the implementation of plans to achieve them. Requirements: A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Law, Engineering, Agriculture, or a similar field. Solid experience in an environmental management role, ideally within the feed or food manufacturing sectors. A thorough understanding of environmental legislation and compliance frameworks both in the UK and abroad. Demonstrated success in implementing environmental systems and strategic initiatives. Strong audit, risk assessment, and reporting capabilities. Confident communicator with the ability to influence and work collaboratively across diverse teams. IEMA Practitioner status or higher is a plus. IOSH and MIIRSM memberships are desirable.
