About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Lead QA to work for our client within the Finance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.
This role requires strong leadership and mentorship; you will manage and guide the QA team and oversee the quality of systems under testing. The Lead QA will mentor QA team members as well as develop and implement QA processes, standards, methodologies, and quality metrics.
Responsibilities
1. Ensuring test plans and cases cover all necessary scenarios and creating processes for test plans and various phases of the testing cycle.
2. Ownership of, and be accountable for, the overall delivery of the Quality Assurance function as part of the “Fusion Rates” project & team.
3. Define and oversee the test strategy across multiple project streams and teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality expectations.
4. Provide strategic direction across teams to ensure consistency in testing practices and adherence to project timelines.
5. Manage the allocation of resources across multiple cross-functional teams and projects, ensuring each team is equipped with the business knowledge, technical skills and tools required to achieve project objectives.
6. Develop KPIs, metrics, and regular reporting to monitor productivity and quality across teams.
7. Minimise platform disruption by instituting strategies for triaging incidents, swiftly replicating production issues in test environments, and leading post-incident reviews to ensure continuous improvement in the testing teams.
About You
Requirements
1. 5 years of experience working as a QA.
2. Experience of working in a leadership role with mentoring.
3. Solid understanding of javascript, webdriver.io and playwright.
4. Ability to provide strategic direction across teams in testing practices.
5. Experience of working to project timelines.
6. Ability to develop KPIs, metrics and regular reporting.
7. Strong stakeholder management skills.
8. Demonstrable experience in risk management.
