Regional Operations Manager at Geotechnics
About The Role
Geotechnics has been in the name since 1983. We deal with the engineering and environmental interaction between earth materials and the built environment. We work with soil, rock, groundwater, and other man-made materials to help ground truth and understand the site-specific engineering behaviour beneath our feet. We offer value through our research, investigation, testing, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation to reduce the risks associated with the unknowns at the pre-construction stage.
Our Company values (Quality, People, Integrity), ethos, and vision are everything to us. Nurturing and providing a workplace where everyone is involved, passionate, and driven to deliver the very best quality site investigation services and data to serve the construction industry, wider community, and the environment in which we operate and live.
Our vision is simple - to be the very best at what we do and to ensure the experience of working with and for us is enjoyable for one and all.
It’s an exciting time for Geotechnics as we look to grow and build upon our solid foundations established some 40 years ago whilst striving to remain as committed, motivated, determined, and responsive to our people as we are to our clients.
At Geotechnics, we take great pride in being people-focused with integrity – our people are our most important and greatest asset, and without them, we couldn’t do all the great work we do.
We value everyone’s thoughts, talents, and ideas. We’re excited to see what you can make happen and we look forward to working with you.
What You'll Do
Our Senior Engineers are involved in, take responsibility for, and manage all aspects of our projects. From the point of award with client liaison, you will work on setting up a project to ensure the most efficient programme and methods of investigation are realised. You will produce health and safety documentation, a programme of work, and together with management, ensure the right people and the right equipment and plant are organised so that you can then supervise the Ground Investigation.
Post site works, you will see the project through and arrange all laboratory testing and produce a report. Together with management, you will be responsible for all quality, technical accuracy, and commercial management and success of any given project. The role demands a good all-round knowledge of site investigation together with excellent communication skills.
This role will initially require a blend of both site and office work to allow you to become part of the team. It could, however, quickly develop into a Project Management role should that be the way you wish your career to progress.
