We are recruiting for a Highways Framework Manager to join, support and lead the collaboration of regional Highways and Smart Motorways project of works. This role will be operational from our Snodland offices, and you will work with Highways teams across our projects in the London and South East region.
The role is easily commutable from locations such as London, Maidstone, Chatham, Rochester, Gillingham, Hempstead, Sevenoaks, Orpington, Swanley, Dartford, Bromley, Tonbridge, Gravesend, Rainham, Swanley, Sittingbourne and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Regional Contracting Director, you as the Highways Framework Manager will be Tarmac’s single point of contact with our clients and will be required to manage and facilitate the collaboration across the operational regional areas, this will involve travelling across the region.
Responsibilities of the role (not exhaustive):
1. Drive exceptional service delivery for key clients, by promoting a collaborative and lean approach to framework performance
2. Collaborate and communicate with our clients, Framework contractors and supply chain partners, championing a one team approach
3. Monitor, review and challenge framework performance against the contracts
4. Collate and reporting on central reports for our clients, including but not limited to Inclusion Action Plan, Quality Plan, Health and Safety Maturity Matrix and Customer Action Plan
5. Support our clients to meet the overall programme and high level objectives
6. Cultivate innovation, drawing upon the technical expertise within the wider business to offer value for money solutions and ensure high quality pavement delivery
7. Co-ordinate the delivery of tender commitments to ensure we deliver the level of service promised to our clients at tender
8. Take ultimate responsibility for the timely and efficient mobilisation of our service on each Highway and Motorway Framework
9. Work with Contracting personnel and support functions to ensure Tarmac presence on Highways and smart Motorways working groups and forums
10. Provide feedback and proposed actions back to leadership teams on steps to drive efficiencies, introduce innovation and continue to be a leader in our industry in the market
In the role you will be in liaison with stakeholders across the business, ranging from – Contracting Directors – Commercial Director for Contracting – General Managers – Supply Chain – HR Teams – External Clients
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role of Highways Framework Manager, you as the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position within the Highways or Smart Motorways sector. You will also be able to demonstrate proven experience working within a global company or a similar environment as well as possess exemplary management, leadership, and communication skills.
Specific Requirements:
11. ESSENTIAL – Demonstratable experience working at this level interfacing with clients and contractors for Highways and Motorways
12. ESSENTIAL - Full UK car driving licence – no more than 6 points
13. Highly analytical
14. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
15. A Degree in a role related discipline would prove highly beneficial
16. Largely qualified by experience relating to industry standards and/or possess good Higher Education Achievement (HND/HNC Level)
17. Have a flexible approach to location in accordance with needs of the business
