An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen within the Specialist Medicine Therapy team for an administration support assistant at the Royal Derby Hospital. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motived individual to join our friendly team.
The Specialist Medicine team provides in-patient therapy cover to the respiratory and High Dependency Unit, cardiology, Coronary Care Unit, renal unit, endocrine and diabetes, and gastro/hepatology.
This role involves working within the therapy team as administration support. The successful candidate will provide a professional and comprehensive administration service for the department ensuring the effectiveness of all communications and organisational systems at all times.
Recent customer service experience, excellent IT skills and prior administration experience is essential to this role. You should be an effective team player who is capable of working well within the team or autonomously.

To provide a high standard of administrative support in the therapy departmental area.
To provide effective communication across the team and external partnerships to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive administration service.
To ensure all enquiries are effectively managed and
successfully resolved within a prompt timescale, ensuring all relevant personnel are informed as necessary and an appropriate record is maintained.
Undertake general administration duties. These may include diary management, inputting therapy data and statistics to databases, organising, ordering and completing associated activities/paperwork.
Undertake clerical duties in a professional, timely manner ensuring deadlines are met.
Awareness and understanding of sensitive information, ensuring strict confidentiality at all times.
Use of IT applications to monitor, prepare and validate databases as appropriate.
To actively participate in regular team and departmental meeting.
